The Role of the Mongolian and East Asian Pacific Country Parliamentary Budget Officer in Public Finance

The Parliamentary Budget Officer provides independent analysis to Parliament on the state of the nation's finances, the government's estimates and trends in the economy. Sometimes, upon request from a committee or parliamentarian, the Parliamentary Budget Officer (PBO) estimates the financial cost of any proposal for matters over which Parliament has jurisdiction.

Beginning on May 23, participants in this course will have the opportunity to learn about this exciting addition to the parliamentary budget process. Please register online here, or contact Brooke at parliamentarystrengthening@gmail.com with more questions.
